Limited Edition Original Cabin Optical Suitcase

Rimowa’s limited edition game is always strong, and this time it’s the company’s classic hero piece, the Original Cabin roll aboard suitcase, that gets a simple, substantial, twist. Riffing off the brand’s iconic groove design, segments are polished in opposite directions instead of in the same direction—what appears to be changes to the anodized aluminum grooves is simply an optical illusion. The interior printed materials also get the optical treatment. Limited to 2002 pieces, the bag’s size and other features are unchanged at 21.7″ x 15.8″ x 9.1″.

Park Seo-Bo + Mykita Eyeglasses

Late Korean artist Park Seo-Bo was a powerful force in the country’s modern art scene, and his colorful works and masterful paintings are even more impactful today than they were when they were created. CH friend Park Ji-Fan, the artist’s grandson and director of the PARKSEOBO Foundation in Seoul, has fostered partnerships to bring the artists’s work into pop culture. Following the recent collaboration with Louis Vuitton follows this collaboration with Mykita, which the late artist worked on prior to his death. inspired by his own glasses, these round frames feel both modern and vintage, with subtly colored temples and an arched bridge. Available in three colorways, each limited to 333 pair.

Leather Swing

A former tattoo artist and motorcycle enthusiast, Jay Teske found his way to making custom motorcycle seats. When he decided to pursue leather work full time his eye for detail and love of materials led to his simple, elegant and beautifully made leather accessories for the home. Working with American bridle leather and brass he creates pulls, knobs, railings, etc. There’s something about his indoor / outdoor leather swing, which couldn’t by simpler, that we can’t stop looking at. It’s as at home on the porch or backyard as in your bedroom, with beautiful brass details and nylon rope. All of his work is made by hand in his Kingston, NY studio.

Drawing inspiration from Stone Island’s Ghost collection, which are always monochrome and inspired by camouflage, the brand’s latest shoe collaboration with long time partner New Balance delivers our favorite version of New Balance’s celebrated 991v2. Wayfarer Ease Optics Change

Tempo Cooler

Oyster, a new Norwegian company, set out to improve the performance of coolers and the result is remarkable. They engineered new solutions to improve every aspect of a standard cooler and Tempo, the result, leapfrogs everything else we’ve seen. It’s a game changer, and here are just some of the ways it’s accomplished it. First, they created a patented vacuum insulation called DTLA that improves the three critical components of maintaining temperature—insulation, circulation and the “thermal bridge”—the connection between the top and bottom of the cooler. The results speak for themselves—improving those by 2x, 380x and 1.4x respectively. The beautifully designed Tempo is made of aluminum, and is 100% recyclable. You do not need to add ice to keep your contents cold—whatever you place in the Tempo stays colder longer than any other cooler, whether it’s cooled or frozen. You can fit 36 beverage cans inside. Should you need to keep whatever’s inside cooler for longer, you can add Oyster’s thin ice packs (sold separately), either cold or frozen, to both cool and keep things that way because of all of the thermal innovation. Respoke Handcrafted Upcycled Footwear

Respoke makes footwear (and other products) from upcycled designer silk scarves (mostly Hermès, Gucci, Pucci, McQueen and Louis Vuitton). What started with espadrilles has expanded to include sneakers, wedges and mules. Because the source material is a scarf each shoe is unique, with some pairs offering nearly symmetrical designs and others a complimentary pairing of the source material’s pattern. The shoes are sustainably handmade in family-owned workshops in Spain using natural materials including jute and rubber; the silk is adhered with heat and stitching—no glue is needed. Left over material (along with recovered material from worn shoes) is then used by company co-founder Chris Bartick in his artworks ensuring that waste is kept to a minimum. Pricing starts at $295 and goes up to $745 based on shoe style and source material.

The Superocean has been a dive watch icon and popular Breitling model since its launch in 1964. Roll Model Carry-On

This innovative carry-on bag is back under a new brand name, SOTTOS, along with some improvements. First introduced in 2016 under the G-RO brand, it reinvented the standard two or four wheel styles by having two very large wheels that are attached to the outside sides of the bag. Like any leverage-focused equipment design, this allows for very easy transport, with the bag effortlessly managing curbs, stairs and uneven surfaces. By attaching the wheels and the handle to the exterior of the bag the interior space is free from their housings thus maximizing interior space and packing efficiency. Shells and Crustaceans III Decoupage Tray

John Derian’s new collection is inspired by “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” at the Met’s Costume Institute. He sourced the museum’s vast collection for the 100 piece collection of his classic paperweights, trays, cake stands and more. His muse for this tray is an illustration in the museum’s collection by Franz Michael Regenfuss, an 18th century illustrator fond of natural history specimens, and hand colored by his wife, Margaretha Helena. It measures 8″ x 10.5″ and is handmade in Derian’s NYC studio.

OMAM Dry Vase

We fell in love with this vase at a studio visit to ANALOG, a Berlin-based glass company that blends high-tech tools with handblown glass. Each OMAM vase follows the same form and size (16-18cm wide and  29-32cm tall) and each celebrates its uniqueness resulting from its hand-blown production. As the name suggests the company recommends that it’s best used for dry arrangements, simply because cleaning can, depending on its particular nooks and crannies, require a bit more effort. Available in multiple colors.
