Do you need a pre amplifier? I currently have a Denon 6700h and thought I might go the separates route for critical listening. I was also surprised to learn the engineers tuned the amp so that it sounded “warm”. We used to moan and groan that ANY coloration was bad. We wanted transparent amps and music as close to how it was recorded as possible. Times change.

Assuming you are moving forward solo?! Stronger than ever, and learning as you go… My favorite part was; ‘And then you worked in New York and you were the amazing chef.’ Good for you for being in the moment and then recognizing you wanted to be present in each moment to come and not get too ahead of yourself! I look forward to following your career! With Respect!
I also moved back to my home country (but ironically right before the pandemic happened) otherwise I would have been in Germany for quite a bit longer and missing my family like crazy.

But I would think that if they used their modular internal storage system to create a folding bed/sofa and other ‘camper’ style items. Then this could very easily be the cheapest and best option for electric camping

Comment on F.A.T. International’s Aspen Ice Race by Josh Rubin https://coolhunting.com/culture/f-a-t-internationals-aspen-ice-race/#comment-21379 Tue, 19 Mar 2024 15:53:24 +0000 https://coolhunting.com/?p=354259#comment-21379 In reply to Jo Silverman.

Hi Jo,
Thanks so much for your loyalty and for calling this out. We have added more detail to the fifth paragraph to clarify why the event has “Aspen” in its name despite happening elsewhere this year.

But this article is completely misleading and it never mentions the accurate location of where this event was. The Roaring Fork Valley runs from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. Aspen is approximately 18 miles up valley from Basalt/Willits. No comment on the event and though the trucks/cars were kept at our beloved Crown Mountain Park, it didn’t interfere with the local community. But that’s my point. The people who live in Basalt/Carbondale are NOT the uber-wealthy with overbuilt second/third/fourth homes (15k plus square feet) and private jets clogging our airport. We are a diverse community of families just living in a beautiful valley….and we want to keep it that way. Aspen has the cache I’m sure the event planners wanted to capitalize on but the fact is it wasn’t in Aspen. In fact, it is next to where I live and got zero coverage in the local papers. If you are going to report/market an event, at least be accurate with the details.

We commissioned a table from Enrique to center our Tulum home–with other works from him gracing our walls and gardens outside. Wonderful that La Zebra and Enrique have furthered their synergies with the new Tienda La Zebra.
