Best known for printing high-resolution images on the highest quality natural Italian silks, Slow Factory blends old-world luxury with new technology. Each collection they release explores stories about human rights and environmental awareness and everything the brand makes is fair trade. We’ve been fans of the label for some time, and were naturally excited to work with them for CH Omakase. The “Moon Selfie” image from the NASA archive speaks to our obsession with capturing ourselves in the moment. Hand-screened on Italian silk, this bandana (15 by 15 inches) was made in an edition of 48 especially for Omakase.

This navy denim jacket, designed by artist Zakee Shariff, is beautifully embroidered with hands that touch and emit a healing rainbow; a visual declaration for coming together. Plants adorn almost every desk at CH HQ, and when we came across byAMT’s Strap Planter at ICFF last year we knew we needed to marry our interests. Our signature green hue is painted over the natural leather handle, adding a botanical touch to the the open weave construction. Designed to fit standard 10-inch terra-cotta pots, the planter features copper-plated hardware and is handmade in collaboration with LA-based Mimot Studio in limited quantities in byAMT’s New York City workshop.

Bower’s Tipsy paperweight puts the fun in functional. Like an adult—and tiny—version of those pop-up punching bags, knock this desk accessory over when you’re feeling stressed and it’ll spring back to life, keeping your papers dutifully protected. CH Editions: Dandelion + Snarkitecture Break Bar

This year we paired SF’s Dandelion Chocolate with NYC design studio Snarkitecture to create a chocolate bar that would play to their talents. The resulting Break Bar is made from 70% Belize beans, and is formed in Snarkitecture’s signature broken slab style. Five of the 500 limited edition bars include a “White Ticket” which wins an inedible sculpture designed by Snarkitecture. All proceeds benefit Southern Exposure, a SF-based non-profit committed to supporting visual artists since 1974.

Known for his cork furniture, Daniel Michalik started experimenting with the material in early 2004 when he was still finishing his graduate degree at the Rhode Island School of Design. Michalik’s talent for the medium is evident in everything from lounge chairs to toy boats, as well as this 5″-square cubed secret stash box created specially for Cool Hunting. Laser-cut from “mean green leather,” Brooklyn-based Death at Sea’s bifold wallet is constructed without the need for thread or glue. The design features one pocket for bills and two pockets for card, and boats a deep green hue specially for Cool Hunting that’s sure to become more beautiful over time.
