The German capital counts its nightlife among the best in the world, not just because of the sheer volume of clubs, but due to the wide variety and quality of music and “only in Berlin” attitude. The recently launched Berlin Lofts outpost of private members club and hotel Soho House Berlin introduce a private partying and event space unlike any other. Paying homage to Berlin’s vibrant music scene, Soho House partnered with the London-based record label and vinyl pressing plant, FACT Magazine publisher and record store owners The Vinyl Factory, ensuring that music is at the forefront of the experience.

Each of the four lofts have their own unique aesthetic, which in a way captures the feel of the city: modern yet casual, refined yet comfortable. Plus an open concept design in each space lends itself to adapting to each group’s needs. So whether you’re throwing an all-night dance party or looking for a high-style setting for your next meeting, the Berlin Lofts suit many needs. Kitted out with a 5.1 cinema system, 75” television, foosball table (this is Germany after all) and fully stocked bar and chef’s kitchen, the new lofts leave little to be desired. Best of all, however, is the state of the art hi-fi system from UK-based Linn, bringing vintage DJ decks and a carefully selected 100-piece record collection from The Vinyl Factory.

“”In a sense, contemporary Berlin is reflected throughout the collection—from the latest electronic 12″ selected by Phonica [The Vinyl Factory’s London record store] through to limited-edition records by Berlin-based artists including Robin Rhode and Richard Mosse,” explains Sean Bidder, Creative Director at The Vinyl Factory. The collection features limited pressings as well as old favorites by artists like The xx, Massive Attack and Pet Shop Boys. Still, these aren’t just any 12-inchers plucked off the shelves. “The Vinyl Factory releases are renowned for their quality,” Bidder adds. “From the recording and vinyl pressing to the artwork and bespoke design, you are getting a chance to play/own something special.”

Spacious even by Berlin standards, the two- and three-bedroom lofts are currently available for both mid and longterm lets as well as event and party rentals. Nightly rates start at around €1,200. Visit Soho House Berlin online for booking information.
